Have you done Part 1, the free NHS e-learning?
You can book either way — Part 1 just needs to be done before the day.
Have them to hand? Add them now — one per delegate, PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 4 MB each. A clear photo or screenshot is fine. Otherwise skip this and bring them on the day or reply to your confirmation email with them. Tip: pick your date and number of places before adding files — changing the course date reloads the page and the files have to be chosen again.
Wrong file? Click Remove next to it. To add another delegate’s certificate, click Choose files again — the ones already here are kept.
Part 1 — free, online, about 90 minutes
Carry on and book below. Before your training day, each delegate completes Part 1, the e-learning from NHS England — the same for everyone in health and social care. We email you these steps and the link with your confirmation:
- Open the NHS elearning for healthcare hub using the button below. It opens in a new tab so this page stays here.
- Register for a free account (or Sign in if you already have one). You do not need to work for the NHS.
- In the catalogue, search for “Oliver McGowan” and open The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
- Enrol, then work through the e-learning. You can stop and come back to it.
- When it shows as complete, go to My Activity (or the certificate link on the course) and download your certificate as a PDF. A screenshot is fine too.
- Bring the certificate on the day, or reply to your booking confirmation email with it. Done.
