Safeguarding Children

This course, constituting the eleventh standard of the Care Certificate, delves into the critical area of safeguarding vulnerable children. You will explore the importance of safeguarding and gain comprehensive knowledge about the types of abuse children may experience. Additionally, you will become familiar with the signs and symptoms that indicate a child is being abused.

Furthermore, the course covers relevant safeguarding legislation, including The Children’s Act 2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children. By understanding the legal framework surrounding safeguarding, you will be equipped to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.

The course concludes by examining procedures for recording and reporting safeguarding concerns. By learning how to document and report incidents appropriately, participants can contribute to the protection and well-being of vulnerable children.

On completion of the course, you will possess the ability to understand the critical importance of safeguarding children.
